WESTbahn has been operating between Vienna, St. Pölten, Salzburg and on to Innsbruck, or Rosenheim and Munich since December 2011, making it one of the oldest private providers of long-distance rail passenger services in Europe.

All holders of an ESNcard are eligible to the 10% student discount on the WESTstandard fare. Please show your valid ESNcard when checking your ticket with the conductor on the train. No age limit applies. Please be aware that during our trial period their website still tells that this only applies to students of German and Austrian universities providing a valid student ID.

3. Choose the discount "Studierende" to apply the 10% discount
