"Tentoura Castro" is one of the most famous and traditional distilleries of the region of Patras, Greece. It is a family business which has its origin in Chios, in the 19th century.
Extra care and attention is paid to the production of Tentoura, a special traditional liqueur. Tentoura is usually consumed after a good meal as a digestive liqueur, at cafes and in bars as a regular drink, plain or with soda or tonic but properly chilled, in small liqueur glasses, plain or with dairy cream and a sprinkling of cinnamon powder.
The "Tentoura Castro" distillery also produces Ouzo, Mastiha, Raising Brandy, and other liqueurs. The company also produces Tentoura Loukoumi, a unique, Tentoura-flavoured Greek delight.
